About Us
At Memories In The Mix, we believe in the power of awareness to bring people together and drive meaningful change in the fight against Alzheimer’s disease.
What began as a passion project in Hoffman Estates, Illinois has grown into a community-driven initiative dedicated to honoring those affected by memory loss. Fueled by compassion and commitment, our mission is to raise awareness, fund critical research, and support the Alzheimer's Association in its pursuit of a world without Alzheimer’s.
A core part of our mission is engaging and educating the youth community. We aim to break down the common misconceptions that Alzheimer’s is just a part of aging or that it only affects the elderly. By fostering understanding and empathy among younger generations, we hope to inspire a new wave of advocates who are informed, compassionate, and ready to make a difference.
Through fundraising events, educational outreach, and local engagement, we strive to spark important conversations and remind people that even small actions can leave a lasting impact. Every dollar raised and every story shared brings us one step closer to hope, healing, and a cure.
Together, we can make a difference—because memories matter.

Meet our team
Meera Menon
Founder
Hey! My name is Meera Menon and I am a high school student from Schaumburg, Illinois. My passion for brain health and advocacy began when my grandfather was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease. Watching the way neurodegenerative illnesses affect not just individuals, but entire families, inspired me to take action. Our goal as a team is to educate our community for this cause and to raise funds that directly support Alzheimer's research and our local Alzheimer's association. My goal is to help others better understand these conditions and to offer support to those who may feel overwhelmed or alone in their journey.
Devanshi Mohapatra
Founder
Hi! My name is Devanshi Mohapatra and I'm a junior in high school. I started this because I know people personally affected by Alzheimer’s, and seeing the challenges they face inspired me to take action. I’m passionate about helping others and making a difference in the lives of those impacted by memory-related illnesses. Volunteering has always been a big part of who I am—it brings me joy to support my community and stand up for causes I believe in. Through this journey, I hope to inspire others to get involved, spread compassion, and create lasting impact.
